Paperback (Cambridge University Press, Aug. 22, 2019)
Conversations about climate change at the science-policy interface and in our lives have been stuck for some time. This handbook integrates lessons from the social sciences and humanities to more effectively make connections through issues, people, and things that everyday citizens care about. Readers will come away with an enhanced understanding that there is no 'silver bullet' to communications about climate change; instead, a 'silver buckshot' approach is needed, where strategies effectively reach different audiences in different contexts. This tactic can then significantly improve efforts that seek meaningful, substantive, and sustained responses to contemporary climate challenges. It can also help to effectively recapture a common or middle ground on climate change in the public arena. Readers will come away with ideas on how to harness creativity to better understand what kinds of communications work where, when, why, and under what conditions in the twenty-first century.

eBook (Start Publishing LLC, July 1, 2013)
As part of the Christian Science and New Thought movements, Holmes believed in the transformative power of positive thinking and the innate ability of every person to affect their world and heal their body through proper use of their mind. In this, his first book, published in 1919, he explains the underlying beliefs of Religious Science and New Thought. Students of religion and history will be interested to read Holmes's new cosmology, linking mind and universe in a truly unique fashion, and anyone looking to improve their lives may find his method to be a powerful new tool. American author and preacher ERNEST SHURTLEFF HOLMES (1887-1960) began studying Christian Science at age twenty-one and in 1912 built a church to spread the message of the New Thought movement. His particular teachings came to be called Religious Science, which he codified in his most influential work, The Science of Mind (1926).

    eBook (, Jan. 24, 2014)
INTRODUCTION.THE hand of eternal progress is brushing the cobwebs from the corridors of time and is again revealing to the human race the mysteries of being. As there is "nothing new under the sun," the searchlight of Truth is bringing to light only what has been known to the few in all generations. The time has now come when the few must become the many. The whole world, from the least to the greatest, must know the Truth, so that man may understand thegreat laws that govern his life. He must learn to control his own destiny, to heal his own body and bring happiness to his own soul. Ignorance must vanish and understanding must be ushered in. Man is no longer to be governed by anything outside himself. Creeds, doctrines, churches, institutions, organizations, governments are all beingchanged to give place to the realization of the individual. There is a power in and through all that is working this great transformation. All that will not measure up to the standard must fall by its own weight; all that is in line with the Truth must still prosper. The time is at hand; we are in the greatest age of all history; we are in the age of the unifying of all people and all things into the "Ever Present One." "The temple not made with hands" is nowbeing silently built by the emancipated souls of this planet.

    Ernest Holmes

Paperback (Science of Mind Publishing, May 1, 2003)
A Series of Talks on Mental and Spiritual Law Delivered at the Metaphysical Institute, Los Angeles in 1918.Creative Mind is the first book Ernest Holmes wrote. Since 1919, it has escorted countless people out of despair and into a richer, fuller life, and has been a source of inspiration throughout the world. The strength of this book can be easily found in the simple and clear approach Holmes took in researching the wisdom of the ages from many disciplines, including psychology, spiritualism, religion, medicine, and philosophy. To meld these concepts into a practical way of living an abundant life not only resulted in this book, but set the stage for what became his classic Science of Mind Textbook. With this beautiful new edition, the only changes you'll find are in the presentation, not the message. In 1957, when Creative Mind was reprinted, Dr. Holmes reviewed the book for alterations and said that there was very little he would change, because "Truth is ageless, timeless, changeless."

    Ernest Shurtleff HOLMES (1887 - 1960)

    MP3 CD (IDB Productions, Aug. 16, 2017)
Creative Mind is for those who search for clarity and helps expound the secrets of one’s existence. All of us are not coping with situations, but with intellect and religiousness. We are coping with the reflective thoughts and the powerful mentality. Know how to dig into the common mind and may you be guided by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is already inside you. Creative Mind will let you grasp it so that you will live a merry, healthy and abundant life. This was written by the past successful New Thought leader Ernest Holmes. Ernest Shurtleff Holmes was a New Thought author, teacher, and leader from the United States. He was the originator of a Spiritual movement referred to as Religious Science, a part of the leading New Thought movement, whose divine way of life is referred to as "The Science of Mind." He was the writer of The Science of Mind and a number of other metaphysical texts, and the initiator of Science of Mind magazine, in unceasing printing ever since 1927. His books continue to be in publication, and the moralities he instilled as Science of Mind have enthused and stirred several generations of metaphysical pupils and instructors. Ernest had formerly learned another New Thought philosophy, Divine Science, and was appointed as Divine Science Minister. His encouragement aside from New Thought can be shown in the self-support movement. Ernest was born in Lincoln, Maine, to an indigent family. His parents were Anna Heath Columbia and William Nelson Holmes. He stopped schooling and left his family in Maine for Boston when he was 15 years old. Between 1908 and 1910, he was hired in a store to pay for his school fees at the Leland Powers School of Expression in Boston. There he was familiarized to Mary Baker Eddy's Science and Health and Christian Science.
