Cambridge International A and AS Level Geography has been especially written for the University of Cambridge International Examinations course for International A and AS Level Geography (9696). The book covers the core syllabus, including hydrology and fluvial geomorphology, atmosphere and weather, rocks and weathering, human population and settlement dynamics. In addition all the human and physical geography options are covered (tropical, coastal, and hazardous environments, desert landforms, production and change, environmental management, global interdependence, and the management of a tourist destination. There is a CD included with the text book. This includes interactive tests (one for each chapter in the book), Revision checklists, a section on Study Skills and a Glossary. Advice is given on the examination and on assessment. The text book has a strong emphasis on geographical skills, including advice on fieldwork. There is also a geographical skills section which includes maps from around the world, and covers cartographic and statistical skills. There is an international focus throughout, and the examples and case studies are taken from around the world.
