  • The Rhythm of Rhyme

Steve Almy, Pegasus Elliot Mackenzie Publishers Ltd

Audiobook (Pegasus Elliot Mackenzie Publishers Ltd, Aug. 22, 2018)
This delightful collection of poems for children has a wide range of subjects. The first poem, "The Word Wizard", tells us all to put our wizard hats on, catch the spinning words, and write them down. Thus, the young listeners are involved from the outset. Some poems could be sung or even danced! The second poem, "Sunrise", could inspire a painting. These poems, which include the natural world, ancient tales of adventure, and nonsense-type poems, will all stretch the imaginations of their young listeners, their parents, and teachers. "Talking with Dancing Hands" is especially poignant. There is something for everyone here, and this fun, uplifting, and heartfelt collection is greatly to be recommended.

They move in next door and their house develops a green glow and has strange noises coming from it. That is when things started getting really odd. Remember, Minotaurs are ticklish....

As they are based at different depots, these brief meetings allow them to keep in touch with all the news and happenings within the fleet and in the places they visit. Suddenly, concerns arise that this valued social interaction will change; plans for the expansion of one of the towns in the region may involve the building of a new depot, with the prospect of additional routes and buses in that area but less contact with those outside it.
