Here is the 216 pg Unabridged stated 1st Edition of the hardcover by Covelle Newcomb as illustrated by Addison Burbank from Longmans, Green and Co., and copyrighted 1945. This is the biography of the American Cardinal James Gibbons who as a Roman Catholic sought justice and fair treatment for all. The former church library book has a card pocket and ownership stamp to the back end pages and no dust cover. Otherwise the blue boards with gold gilt lettering have some rub/stain and some edge/corner wear, yet overall they are straight and presentable. There is a quarter sized black mark to the front end page, but otherwise the pages are clean, tear free and aside from a slight musty odor, the book is nice and as having a sound binding.
