    language (, Dec. 15, 2015)
Are you asking yourself “What makes me unique?” Later studies have shown that genetic material, DNA is what makes it possible for every person to be a unique individual.DNA technologies are the most dynamic areas in Life Sciences for the 21st century. DNA is used in everyday life, for instance, developing vaccines, criminal investigation, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases, and making better healthy-foods.DNA–short for deoxyribonucleic acid is the molecule of life. Everything in the cell obeys DNA hidden inside the cell nucleus. A cell’s DNA is a command and control center. Are you curious about the molecular world around you? Dive in! Join us in DNA wonderland. This is the first book in the series of Tommy’s adventures in life sciences. It is really wonderful how an imaginative boy, Tommy could enter the nucleus of a living cell and uncover the hidden secrets of DNA. Readers can actually learn and retain new knowledge from this fantasy story. The pictures in the book will help you to understand the complex molecules of life better. The author, M.D., Ph.D. is a scientist in Molecular Medicine, has more than 20 years of combined research experience, and hopes to share new scientific knowledge with you.Don’t miss other exciting books written by Molecular Doctor, please read the picture books in the series of Stem Cells Maker. Fun while learning!

Hello! Nice to meet you! I’m Mr. Sperm. Let me tell you a story about sperm’s amazing life. Although sperm is the smallest cell in the human body, sperm is male gamete, namely male reproductive cell. So sperm cells take the biggest responsibility for human reproduction.Sperm’s life began in a cool place testes, where is approximately 2°C below body temperature (37°C). Testes are known as ‘Sperm Factory’ because several hundred million sperm cells are made there every day!The goal of sperm’s life is giving the genetic material to Ms. Ovum, a female reproductive cell. When sperm and egg unite successfully a new human being is growing and developing. Before a real journey of fertilization, sperm has to participate in a special training to become an excellent swimmer. Only one sperm allows entering into an egg cell, the winning sperm is titled as Mr. Sperm. Mr. Sperm has several hundred million competitors at the ‘Sperm Competition’ game; this is a great challenge in a sperm’s life. • Life’s Greatest Challenges Book One: Ms. Ovum

    Zhao Zhang

    eBook (, Feb. 25, 2016)
Hi everybody, I’m Ms. Ovum. First of all, let me introduce myself. My full name is Ovum Sex Cell. Sometimes people called me egg cell. My home is located in Ovary; this is a warm and sweet place. Ms. Ovum is a female germ cell and has a responsibility for human reproduction. Here, I would like to introduce Mr. Sperm very shortly, because Mr. Sperm is the key character in the story of my life. His full name is Sperm Sex Cell, also called male gamete, namely male reproductive cell. His home is located in the male’s testicles known as ‘the land of men’. The female egg is the body’s largest cell and the male sperm is its smallest. Although egg and sperm cells are sex cells in human body, people seem to understand sperms better. The wise sperms work closely with scientists and voluntarily participate in a variety of scientific studies. So the sperms always show up in movies, magazines, and books. By contrast, the egg cells are sometimes described as ‘difficult communication’. Some scientists complained, “The egg cells act like elves that are hard to capture.” I say well maybe that’s true; egg cells love to hide inside the sweet and warm Ovaries, usually, only one mature egg, called Ms. Ovum allows leaving Ovary monthly, Ms. Ovum is probably targeted by more than 300 million sperms in each appearance. Scientists have recorded the love stories about sperm and egg cell using the advanced technologies. But these stories are written in the boring experimental data; most people really don’t understand those complex things.I’m a very brave and wise egg cell, and enjoy the intense competition; also I would like to share those thrilling love stories with all of you. Now I invite you to join us and read the molecular love stories in the cell world, you’ll understand a lot of the molecular and cellular language between cells communicate with each other.Let Ms. Ovum take you into the mysterious world of human life beginning, it’ll bring you the knowledge and the greatest joy by reading this book.
