    William J. Robinson

Paperback (Leopold Classic Library, Feb. 29, 2016)
About the Book The romance novel, which is sometimes termed the romantic novel, places its primary focus on the development of a romantic relationship and love between two people. The sub-genres of the romance novel include: fantasy, historical romance, paranormal fiction, and science fiction. Romance novels existed in ancient Greece, and were also to be found in the literary fiction of the 18th and 19th centuries in the works of such authors as Samuel Richardson and Jane Austen. Also in this Book Titles that are fiction anthologies are collections of fiction works chosen by the compiler. They may be a collection of stories by different authors. And in this Book Urban fiction is set in the urban landscape, although the genre is as much defined by socio-economic and cultural themes. Urban fiction usually has a dark backdrop, focusing on lower socio-economic characters. Themes include profanity, sex, and violence, with authors often drawing upon their own past experiences to enrich their stories.About us Leopold Classic Library has the goal of making available to readers the classic books that have been out of print for decades. • My Fourteen Months at the Front: An American Boy's Baptism of Fire

    William J. Robinson

Paperback (Forgotten Books, July 7, 2017)
Excerpt from My Fourteen Months at the Front: An American Boy's Baptism of FirePrior to my arrival in England the idea of participating in the great war had never entered my head. I went abroad on business, and I expected to return to this country as soon as my work was completed. It seemed, though, that Fate decreed otherwise. I had been in England a good many times before, and in France and Belgium, too, for that matter. My father was a sea captain, and I was born aboard his ship; in fact I lived the first six years of my life on shipboard. This last trip across the Atlantic made the twenty-third time for me, so I was quite at home in the British Isles. Almost before I knew it I had taken the step that was responsible for the most terrible yet wonder ful experience that ever came to me.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
