    Adam J. Williams

This is made easy because the people of Oz take everything at face value. The world of magical energy where these imaginary friends are created, has been taken over by The Shades who use the forgotten's energy to create nasty creatures to frighten children, such as, The Monster In The Closet, The Bogeyman, The Thing Under the Bed and so on. The Shades do this because they feed on fear! Tobias Smudge's creator takes his daughters to a cottage he used to go to as a child, which is also where he left Tobias and forgot about him. The girls find him and go on a magical adventure to destroy The Shades and Release the imprisoned 'forgotten'. It's a great read for kids as everything rhymes! It's short and easy to read with a few note and drawing pages at the back for kids to continue the story and start writing themselves!
