Bound within orange cloth covers, with a small navy line illustration of Professor Branestawm to the lower right hand corner; rubbed to corners, grubby, spine faded. Shaken. Top edge coloured a lovely muted blue. Delightful black and white line illustration to the front and back endpapers, un-inscribed but with a tear to the back hinge revealing the mull below. Neat ink inscription dating 1933 to the second front free endpaper, with exposure to the mull due to paper coming away from the spine. Light foxing throughout. Beautiful coloured frontispiece depicting Professor Branestawm flying a makeshift plane, followed by 76 black and white illustrations by W. Heath Robinson distributed throughout the text.
