The Ballerina Sistah's is a culturally diverse book about the adventures of two sisters, named Dayanna (Day-Day) and Simara who are involved in their first year of Ballet at a local non profit Recreation Center. On this particular day, the girl's are asked by their Uncle, to conduct warm-up exercises until their teacher arrives.Unsupervised during their warm up, the girls, who both have vivid imaginations, have difficulty remaining on task when they are surprised by the interruptions of two dancing Hip -Hop Monkeys, that threatens to tear up the girls classroom: unless they agree to challenge them to a Hip-Hop dance competition. Understanding that Hip- Hop is not their forte, the girl's make the decision to call on the assistance of their two cousins; Dancing Taylen and Izayah, to take on the Monkey's challenge. Is their decision enough for the sisters to win? Does the Ballerina Sistah's successfully complete their task? Or do they have some explaining to do?A story about creative expressions, communication, conflict resolution, decision making, interpersonal relationships and remaining on task.
