Have you ever thought about traveling to Costa Rica? You might be interested in reading the questions and answers that we have compiled about this most biodiverse country in the world. As two former boat bums who have traded their boat for a condo in the warm, tropical paradise of Playa Ocotal, Costa Rica, we have gathered the reoccurring questions from many tourists and friends we have known over the last ten years about visiting and living in Costa Rica. We've attempted to answer these questions with candor, insight, and facts. We have also included a sprinkling of pictures and travel quotes that serve to illustrate our response and entertain you. We enjoy sharing our experiences in the hope that your future visit to Costa Rica is stress free and meets your expectations. It is no fun to be sick, sun burned, bug bitten, lost, or disappointed on a trip. We normally live half the year in Costa Rica in a condo in Playa Ocotal that we bought in 2007. We had visited the country prior to buying the condo and have seen a lot of significant changes in Costa Rica, especially in the quality of the roads, services, housing, communication, and laws. We have traveled on some of the most difficult roads in Costa Rica and lived to tell about it. We have also ventured out to visit the surrounding countries. We are always checking out new places to go so that when friends and family come down to visit, they will have a memorable visit. Although our friends, Nancy and Terry, have been down three times to visit and stay for 10 days, we still keep finding new places and things to amaze them. Whether we are tramping through the rainforest in Corcovado National Park, passing uncomfortably close to a fer de lance or seaching for the Quetzal bird in San Geraldo de Dota, there is still more adventure waiting for us.If you want more information and stories about our travels, we will try to continue recalling our adventures with pertinent details in future e-books so that you can follow the bread crumbs and discover the joy of traveling in this incredibly beautiful country.
