The Wolf the Bear and the Panda are great friends right from the start. They are very happy together and living an idyllic life. Suddenly an enforced separation takes place. The remaining two friends are devastated. They decide to go to great extremes to be reunited with their friend the Panda. This includes travelling to the other side of the world and facing unknown dangers. During their adventure they devise cunning plans and have to deal with other animals that are very unfriendly indeed. In the end, they discover a new friend in a foreign land, who is prepared to help them and even save their lives. The three friends become four and their world is restored to stability. The story takes place, to start with, in England and then eventually the beautiful area of Banf in Canada. Other animal characters in this story include a Grizzly bear, a Moose and a Cougar or Mountain lion. These are all native to the Banf area of Canada.

During a bicycle ride with his dad he goes through some mysterious wooded areas where he sees strange tracks, lots of squelchy mud and imagines that he sees all kinds of different creatures hiding in the trees. The creatures aren't scary and he is really happy to see them. In the end he is just happy that the dinosaurs didn't eat all of his chocolate buttons! This book would be suitable for ages around 1 to 5 and would be a good reader or bedtime story.
