The man escaped, but the eggs turned to stone. Logan finds a thunder egg in his father's old rock collection, and he is convinced it is a Summit Dancer egg. With the help of his friend, Jeremy, the boys set out on a quest to solve the mystery and release the Summit Dancer from the egg.

    Every year the Henderson family spends a month at the beach house. The highlight of Chloe's summer is finding a small pearl in a clam. When Chloe decides to have the pearl set into a necklace, the shopkeeper tells her that it is a very rare and special stone. When this type of stone is exposed to the light of the full moon, the land and sea will become one. As her vacation ends, Chloe finds an injured beached sea turtle which is given the name Sophia. The following summer, the Henderson family is invited to watch a sea turtle hatching. In her excitement, Chloe forgets to take off her necklace and runs ahead of her family where she finds Sophia on the beach. As an expression of thanks for her help, Sophia tells Chloe the story of how there came to be both land and sea turtles. Chloe becomes distracted. When she looks back, Sophia is gone and her necklace has a dimming iridescent glow.

All the commotion causes the butterflies to abandon the valley resulting in paisley, plaid, stripes, polka dots, zig zag, neon, and checker board patterns being introduced in the valley. The question is how to return the town to normal.
