    Folks, did you like reading Rudyard Kiplings Rikki Tikki Tavi? It was a story about a mongoose and a snake. Well "Killer Snake" comes from the land of Rikki Tikki Tavi. This is in north India in the Terai where the British colonials loved to hunt. And where the famous Kipling got the idea for his story. And folks an unknown small time author by the name of Ashok Kumar Singh, who lives in this area, got the idea for his story too. This area is infested with cobra's with hundreds of snake bite deaths every year. If you read "Killer Snake." You will enjoy it. It is sinister, its deadly, its funny. It is inspired by Rikki Tikki Tavi. But I assure you it isn't half as good as the latter.Synopsis : A snake escapes from a snake charmers basket and creates havoc before it is captured again. It grows a pair of milky white fangs backed with fresh new venom bags. Its first victim is a little girl who put her hand into a rat hole which it had usurped. Another victim is the landlords maid servant in whose hair it gets entangled. The humans are terrified and pray to it to the consternation of the British officer who sometimes comes visiting. He is employed in the service of His Majesties Government of India. He just doesn't understand why anyone would pray to a snake. Especially one sitting coiled cozily on a scarecrows head. Folks it's a clash of different cultures. Read on.You will enjoy it.
