Panhandle Pete followed his dreams to the docks and beaches of the Florida Gulf Coast and then, things only got better! He was probably born somewhere in Alabama, maybe in the mid - 50's. His family vacationed all along the Gulf of Mexico every summer. Pete loved the beaches, boats, and the water. He had wondered when he was younger how he could ever wait to grow up and live where he wanted. But he did grow up and he moved to the Florida Panhandle. Pete's life went on to take many twists and turns, including winning the lottery! He has spent his years traveling up and down the beach, meeting people and living his life until his adventures became legendary. This is my attempt to put those adventures to paper and to share with you how Pete made himself a life he found value in living.

Elijah and the Elephant is a dream I had one night. It was a fun movie my mind played as I was sleeping. When I woke up the next morning, I could not stop thinking about the dream. I had prayed the night before for God to give me a new project to work on. I decided writing this book must be the project. I began to write down as much of the dream as I could remember. When my kids asked me what I was doing, I told them. They asked me to tell them the story. They liked it and wanted me to finish the story. My husband and kids encouraged me to turn the story into a book to share with others. I hope others will enjoy this fun story. It is a story about a adventurous young girl, friendship, and helping others.
