Pansy befriends Poppy, a young homeless lad, and invites him to live in her guest house in exchange for work. When Poppy fails to keep a promise made to Pansy, he abruptly leaves and visits the Big Forest where perhaps he can establish a new home. Poppy's exploration of the Big Forest goes well until he encounters and narrowly escapes a fringe warrior tribe. He then finds himself confused and lost very deep in the Big Forest. An intense search, initiated by Pansy, is undertaken to find him. Includes sixteen full color, beautifully rendered illustrations. Written for children, ages 8 to 12, but also to be enjoyed by readers of all ages.
