He wasn’t sure if he could ever participate in Track and Field again. His family was devastated. He took courage when his best friends, family, coach, principal, and others decided to be right there throughout the duration of his illness. His dad was a police officer/marine stationed overseas, but was able to fly back to be with him the day of his surgery after he received an urgent message that his son was sick. This book demonstrates the need to have support when one is sick and how that support can bring about quicker healing.
