  • A Day at the Market

    Sara Anderson

Board book (Handprint, March 1, 2006)
From the early morning fruit vendors hawking their wares to a quiet morning spent savoring a cup of hot chocolate, from the glistening, silvery salmon announced by a fishmonger's bellow to the silent halls as they're hosed down one last time by the night workers, the full experience of a farmer's market is reflected in Sara Anderson's signature cut-paper style and pitch-perfect voice. Set in the halls of Seattle's fabled Pike Place Market, a place Sara Anderson has shopped and loved for almost a quarter of a century, the book vividly recreates the cacophony, variety, joy, and life that can be found in every market across the land.

  • Mother Penguin's Hunting Trip

    Saige Anderson

eBook (Cameron Anderson, Nov. 16, 2013)
All profits from this book will go in to Saige's college fund.My name is Saige Anderson. I'm nine years old. I go to Forest View Elementary. At school, I like to go to recess, gym, and I also enjoy reading. When I'm not at school, I like to hang out with my friends, do gymnastics, and read.I chose my animal because penguins are cute, cool, and animals that are easy to make. An interesting fact that I learned about my animal is that in some parts of Antarctica, penguins swim in water so cold that if humans took a short swim, they would die because of the coldness of the water. My favorite type of textured paper to make was with plastic wrap. I enjoyed the collage making because it was really fun. I think my book is the best it can be because I made it and I worked hard.-Saige Anderson3rd Grade, 2010-2011November 2013 - Saige is now in 6th grade. She loves to read on her Kindle, is in competitive gymnastics, and plays the violin. She continues to draw and write and I am looking forward to publishing some more of her work.--Cameron Anderson (Saige's father).

  • Noisy City Day: Handprint Books

    Sara Anderson

Board book (Hand Print, Feb. 1, 2005)
This oversized board book traces a city across the span of a day -- filled with the people, traffic, parks, streets, stores, and buildings that make up the town. The breadth of the urban experience may all be found here: from the bicyclist lazily gliding through the park to the raucous swooshhhhh of traffic; from the clanging crash of construction work to the quiet of a sweeping streetscape as seen from a high-floor apartment building.Vibrant colors that zing with the heat rising from a steaming sidewalk are perfectly matched to a syncopated, sound-filled, chant-again-and-again text. Ingeniously die-cut pages reinforce the experience of the city skyline in a stylish book that represents a tour-de-force performance by Sara Anderson.
