  • Sentimientos with Feelings Chart / Mood Magnet

    Susan Canizares

Board book (Scholastic, Inc. & ASI, March 15, 2008)
THE BOOK: "Feelings" by Susan Canizares, c. 1999, Scholastic, Inc. - New York, NY. Size of this board book is about 7 1/2" x 6 1/4", 12 pages, with a blank bookplate inside the back cover. For Ages 2-6. Each page has just one word (the name of a feeling) and a wonderful photograph that tells an entire story. This is a book to use for discussions... for talking about each of the pictures and for teaching about feelings. The 10 feeling words included in this multicultural book are: Happy, Sad, Mad, Excited, Lonely, Scared, Proud, Hurt, Frustrated, and Curious. THE MOOD METER MAGNET: This little individual Feelings Chart is 3 7/8" wide x 6 7/8" high x .02" thick, and has 30 different faces expressing different feelings (moods, emotions). Both the chart itself and the moveable frame are magnetic. When invited, children can change the position of the frame to graphically show how they feel. The frame says "Today I Feel"... A great tool for teaching vocabulary about feelings and for play therapy. Especially useful for parents, teachers, counselors, social workers, therapists, and others who work with young children, children with autism, and children with other special needs. The 30 Magnet Moods include: Exhausted, Confused, Ecstatic, Guilty, Suspicious, Angry, Hysterical, Frustrated, Sad, Confident, Embarrassed, Happy, Mischievous, Disgusted, Frightened, Enraged, Ashamed, Cautious, Smug, Depressed, Overwhelmed, Hopeful, Lonely, Lovestruck, Jealous, Bored, Surprised, Anxious, Shocked, and Shy.
