  • Joy Sparton of Parsonage Hill

    Ruth I. Johnson

    (Moody Publishers, April 5, 1958)
I read this book at our church library over 20 years ago. I loved the series then. I was excited to read it again to see if it was as enjoyable as I remembered before introducing my 9 year old daughter to the series. She loved it, too! Joy is funny, real, and "relatable." Yes, the lingo is a bit dated, but the message is good. In this book, she sees her need for Jesus that she has put off for years. My daughter and I have joked since then about "mind wandering" when I add to my grocery list during my devotions, too. Don't know what I mean? Read the book to find that part.
