  • School is Cool

    Ruth Coates Diamond

Paperback (Tate Publishing, Sept. 15, 2015)
Josh wakes up to find it is his first day of school. He is afraid to go to school and tries everything from stalling to crying in the hopes that he won't have to go. The next day Josh is so excited and happy to go to school that he jumps out of bed when called and runs to the bus. What happens his first day of school, and why is Josh so excited to go be going back? The transition from home to school can be a very frightening experience for young children. I have written this book with the hope that when it is read to preschool children it will help to ease the fears they may have about starting school. The book was inspired by a young man in my son's kindergarten class who had a terrible time adjusting to school and the wonderful teacher who made being in school a fun and exciting learning experience.
