Collin's Trip to Upside Down Town was written as a work of pure fantasy, but the small boy in the story is very real. At the tender age of three, Collin was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a particularly aggressive form of childhood cancer. Suddenly, his whole world and that of his family was, in the most profound sense, turned upside down. The purpose of this book was simply to make Collin smile.
