This volume contains four aspects of William Carey's life. They were first written as conference papers to be delivered to a Baptist church mission's conference. Later they were turned into manuscript chapters for this volume. His call to salvation experience, his call to be a foreign missionary, his call to go to India as a missionary, and his call to persevere under the harshest circumstances for forty years. It is written to be an encouragement to the corporate churches and to individuals to hear God's call on one's life and to persevere and be faithful to that calling.
