  • The Rainbow Bird

    Robin Morrison

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Nov. 21, 2017)
This is an uplifting story that has been written to be read aloud to children aged between 3-6. Part One was made up for the author's granddaughter when she was three, and then Part Two when she was about two years older. It contains a moral subplot to encourage children to think of others as well as themselves, otherwise the Rainbow Bird might not appear! Of course, adults forget these things, and only a child can understand that! There are no illustrations because the author wanted to keep the price as low as possible, and because an appropriate illustrator of the Rainbow Bird couldn't be found. Perhaps the pictures are best left to the imagination (and drawing) of the children who hear the story. It is hoped it gives pleasure, and indeed inspires their own imagination.
