Steadfast Grin and the Luminous King of the Teddy-Bear Ghosts

The king of the teddy-bear ghosts has disappeared, swallowed whole by a dark entity at the North Pole. Meanwhile, out for an evening stroll in the town common while his girl, Elenora, is asleep, a hapless teddy named Heath finds himself mistaken for the king, and magically (and irreversibly) crowned. On the other side of the globe, the wizard Steadfast Grin sees signs of very dangerous mischief afoot and sets out to gather the Gong Twelve, a corps of magical heroes—including a clever genie, the cultured king of vampires, the friendly lord of the ghouls, a brave banana, a little stick, and the sleepy fairy queen—who have sworn to protect the world. Their task is implausible, their enemy seemingly all-powerful, but they bring all the magic and goodness they can muster to the task of outsmarting a mysterious enemy before it destroys the whole world.
