  • Further Adventures Of Jahziel The Fisher Boy

    Robert P. Burton

Paperback (Independently published, Aug. 17, 2019)
This is the second book in the series of Jahziel The Fisher Boy. In the first book, we meet Jahziel as the boy who supplies Jesus with a few fish and pieces of bread that Jesus miraculously multiplies in order to feed a great number of people. Jahziel and his father Shellim travel with Jesus throughout the towns around the Sea of Galilee and then down to Jerusalem while they witness Jesus’ character, and were enlightened by the truth of His teachings. Shellim had to get back to his fishing trade but allowed Jahziel to remain with Jesus. In our present book, Jahziel travels with Jesus and the disciples through Samaria into Galilee to Nazareth. Jahziel gets to meet Jesus’ mother Mary and His family. Yet before they get to Nazareth they encounter The Woman at the Well, The Good News Shepherd’s, The Witches of Endor and others. All of these experiences cause Jahziel to mature in his faith while becoming more assured that Jesus is the Messiah. Drawings by Laurel Ann Smith, Jolie Matteis, and children from Mullein Hill Christian Academy are included in this version of Jahziel The Fisher Boy (Volume 2).

    (Independently published, Nov. 7, 2018)
The Witch of the North has a problem- the other members of her Cardinal Coven are alive and she really most sincerely doesn't want them that way.The Coven was always contentious but since the arrival of the mysterious (and yet potentially non-magical) Wizard, alliances have formed. The witches of the East and West seem to pal around more than they used to. Reports are they even fly around together! On separate brooms- they are close but not that close.More troubling are the rumors that they are both working on magical talisman to get rid of the Witch of the North. The West is creating an all-powerful broom. The one in the East is working on a pair of shoes.Really.A more immediate concern is the Witch of the South who has perfected her magical star talisman. Safe in her snowy realm, she bides her time waiting for the chance to deal a deathly blow to the Witch of the North. At least that’s what the Witch of the North thinks. And that’s good enough for her. The time for lethal action is now! When a tornado brings a young man from afar, the Witch of the North sees a way to rid herself of her troublesome Coven sisters. Or at least one of them. So, she sends the young man to retrieve the star talisman. Any way he can. Along for the ride is a rooster, a Lollipop Guild Enforcer (you better capitalize it), and a goat. The wheels of political change are set in motion by an unsuspecting young man from Kansas just a week before a second tornado brings a small and meek farm girl (who finishes the job)...

  • Titanic: The Ship of Dreams

    Robert Plant

    Paperback (CF4Kids, Dec. 7, 2018)
The ship that could never sink, the ship of dreams, became a ship of nightmares as it sank beneath the freezing Atlantic Ocean. Colliding with a massive iceberg, it was as much the arrogance of the ship’s owners and operators that caused the tragedy of the Titanic on 14th April 1912. 1,517 people perished that night but there was at least one man who was focused on saving souls amidst the horror. As the icy waters brought the life of John Harper to a close he still had the energy to call one final person to come to Christ. This is a story of tragedy but it is also a story of faith and courage and eternal hope.

  • Dogged Pursuit: How a Rescue Dog Rescued Me

    Robert Rodi

    Paperback (Plume, May 25, 2010)
Read Robert Rodi's posts on the Penguin Blog. "A charming, hilarious look at a little-documented world." -- People In dog years, Robert Rodi is 350. Age, however, couldn't possibly have prepared him for his experience with canine agility-the athletic cousin to best-of-breed shows. Rodi, an epicure and urban intellectual, picks up agility with aspirations for blue ribbons. His dreams of glory quickly fade when faced with the competition: hearty Midwestern handlers and their ferociously fit pups, who annihilate scrawny, scruffy, Dusty, Rodi's rescue dog and would-be champ, in the ring. The duo is utterly lost in the agility circles, but as in the best human/pet stories, they forge an everlasting bond to carry them through. Combining the wit of Christopher Guest's Best in Show and the charm of Marley & Me, Dogged Pursuit is an uproarious account of a neophyte's year in the dog show world that abounds in humor and warmth.
