  • Around the Block

    Rob Durham

    (Rob Durham, April 12, 2018)
Seventeen-year-old Mark Lender loves running track but has no track record with the ladies—that’s something he’s looking to change. He is shocked when the interest of two girls takes him from Mr. Backstage to Mr. Centerstage. Katy Mancer seems obsessed with him, but she’s oblivious to fashion—or reality, so her advances only give Mark’s bullies a bigger target. Then there’s Angel Hayden, a six-foot-one home run-hitting jock, who’s so popular she parties with college guys and is way too experienced for a guy like Mark who’s never made it to first base. He can either learn quickly or strikeout.

  • Andrea the squirrel and the Christmas gift rev 1

    Roy Durham

    eBook
ANDRE THE SQUIRREL AND THE CHRISTMAS GIFT“In the woods of the great northwest old growth forest”, these opening lines were enough to capture my attention and the rest of the story just kept on reeling me in its heart warming tale of Andre’ The Squirrel and The Christmas gift. The author, Roy Durham has managed to create a character that goes through a series of events and in the process evolves into a loving and caring friend, from the obnoxious and selfish person that he was. Illustrations by Melissa Tandoc are a treat for the eyes. The sketches add to the charm of the story and are a perfect accompaniment to it. The sketch of Andre’ on the red velvet cloth is my favourite; he is like Aladdin on his magic carpet. The main characters of Roy’s story are animals and it teaches us all, children and adults alike, a valuable lesson about love, friendship and caring for each other. I would love to curl up with this merry tale and spend my Christmas feeling good about myself and the wonderful world we live in. Come join Andre’ in his journey and witness the miracle called Christmas with him and all his friends.Sulekha Rawat
  • The Call of the South

    Robert Lee Durham

Paperback (Leopold Classic Library, July 23, 2015)
Leopold Classic Library is delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive collection. As part of our on-going commitment to delivering value to the reader, we have also provided you with a link to a website, where you may download a digital version of this work for free. Many of the books in our collection have been out of print for decades, and therefore have not been accessible to the general public. Whilst the books in this collection have not been hand curated, an aim of our publishing program is to facilitate rapid access to this vast reservoir of literature. As a result of this book being first published many decades ago, it may have occasional imperfections. These imperfections may include poor picture quality, blurred or missing text. While some of these imperfections may have appeared in the original work, others may have resulted from the scanning process that has been applied. However, our view is that this is a significant literary work, which deserves to be brought back into print after many decades. While some publishers have applied optical character recognition (OCR), this approach has its own drawbacks, which include formatting errors, misspelt words, or the presence of inappropriate characters. Our philosophy has been guided by a desire to provide the reader with an experience that is as close as possible to ownership of the original work. We hope that you will enjoy this wonderful classic book, and that the occasional imperfection that it might contain will not detract from the experience.

  • The Call of the South

    Robert Lee Durham

Paperback (Ulan Press, Aug. 31, 2012)
This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. While some publishers have opted to apply OCR (optical character recognition) technology to the process, we believe this leads to sub-optimal results (frequent typographical errors, strange characters and confusing formatting) and does not adequately preserve the historical character of the original artifact. We believe this work is culturally important in its original archival form. While we strive to adequately clean and digitally enhance the original work, there are occasionally instances where imperfections such as blurred or missing pages, poor pictures or errant marks may have been introduced due to either the quality of the original work or the scanning process itself. Despite these occasional imperfections, we have brought it back into print as part of our ongoing global book preservation commitment, providing customers with access to the best possible historical reprints. We appreciate your understanding of these occasional imperfections, and sincerely hope you enjoy seeing the book in a format as close as possible to that intended by the original publisher.
