  • Good Morning: Your Guide to Utter Nonsense

    Richard Green

    eBook
In any language, “Good Morning” is a welcome greeting. A salutation between friends, colleagues, family and strangers followed with a smile, and sometimes, words of wisdom.I have complied a set of observations, suggestions, and life stories - one for each day of the year – to inspire, energize and influence your daily life. I hope to provide answers to problems you encounter. I want to spark your creative spirit to fulfill your passions. I aim to incentivize your entrepreneurial spirit. I wish to improve your life. “Good Morning” starts on January 1st with “Happy New Year”. For each subsequent day, I recommend reading the entry for only that day and not to jump ahead in the calendar. This gives time for quiet reflection. To discuss what is written with friends and family. I also suggest starting on the day you open the book for the first time. If it is April 14th or June 6th or October 7th, that’s where you should begin. Every entry is chosen for a particular day. Nothing is random. (And read February 29th only during a leap year.)Now for the truth: Despite my lofty goals, I have failed. All entries make no sense, provide no real advice and are pretty much just gibberish. I sought meaningful expressions of hope and insight but ended with non-sequiturs and confusing conspiracies. To be honest, I don’t even know what I’m talking about now. I don’t think I ever did. As you read the following pages please remember, I tried.(This is a work of humor.)

  • E=MC2 & The New Definition of God

    Richard Greene

    language (, Dec. 19, 2018)
I fell in love with Albert Einstein when I was researching his life and his speeches for my book "Words That Shook The World: 100 Years of Unforgettable Speeches and Events". And his iconic formula, E=MC2 kept running through my mind. I even put a little sticker of it on the dashboard of my car and had this unmistakable feeling that there was something more to it, even more than what had already made it the most famous and perhaps most important equation in history. And in this little children's book, which is really not just for our new generation but for a new generation of thought about religion and spirituality, there might actually be found the fulfillment of Dr. Einstein's greatest quest. Albert Einstein, publicly dedicated his life's work to finding "A Unified Field Theory" or, "A Theory of Everything". In other words, Einstein wanted to be able to identify how everything was related to everything else in physics and with all of the forces of the Universe.I am not a scientist and, frankly, did everything I could to stay way from math and physics courses in high school and college. But now I am completely fascinated by science and believe that what is presented in this simple book is, in some ways, exactly what my hero, Dr. Einstein, was looking for. It presents an interpretation of his own work that perhaps he didn't reflect on but which can fairly answer two critical questions: "How is everything united?" or "How do we describe or understand the uniting force in the Universe?" and an even more important unification... "How can we human beings unite our species when different religions pull us so far apart and, as such, actually threaten the the survival of our species?"We need more than a unified field theory for physicists. We need a unified theory uniting all peoples and religions... a "theory of everything" at least in one sense, that can become a foundation that is as deep and as profound as the most powerful religious dogma. The scientific "New Definition of God, if properly understood, can do that.E=MC2 is our shared bond. The God-Force" that it describes is equally inside the cells and atoms of our Muslim brothers and sisters as it is our Christian, Jewish and all others. And it it also inside, in exactly the same way, each and every one of our animal friends an plant and mineral cohabitants in the Universe that came from, and still exists as, the Energy that Einstein's formula so elegantly and simply describes. A gram of your body and a gram of your fiercest enemy's body share EXACTLY the same quantity and nature of God-Force energy. No religion or philosophy or national borders can ever change that. The energy energy described and exactly defined by E=MC2 is the thing that UNIFIES all humanity and, far beyond that, all matter in the Universe! I choose to call that energy, that force, "God." So, let's explore the science with our children. Let's "do the math", transcend the differences of our different philosophies and beliefs and unify around this magnificent formula that celebrates that thing that unifies all things... the energy that is all things. Dr. Einstein would want that.ABOUT THE AUTHOROver the past 30 years Richard has re-defined human beings' greatest fear, Public Speaking, in his prestigious coffee table book, "Words That Shook The World", in over 100 lecture tours in 45 countries, giving Keynote Addresses on "The 7 Secrets of Public Speaking", conducting workshops and private sessions for Presidents, Prime Ministers, Presidential Candidates, CEO's and even Princess Diana.Driven, starting at the age of 6, to figure out God and the Universe, Richard has spent his entire life studying religions and spirituality. In this book, he shares his decades of discovery, his love and passion about the Universe and his hero, Albert Einstein, seeking to forge a new understanding and a unified, unifying definition of the ancient concept we call "God".
  • there are no Answers to the Mysteries

    Richard Green

    eBook (, May 11, 2014)
“While on an archeological expedition in Egypt, Dr. Salmon discovered the ancient tomb of King Itacher, the only King never preserved as a mummy but was instead ‘freeze-dried’. Instructions written on the side of the sarcophagus declared that with the addition of 5 gallons of water, King Itacher would come back to life.”“(there are no) Answers to the Mysteries” explores a variety of phenomena – Ghosts, UFOs, Bigfoot, the Bermuda Triangle, Life after Death, Reincarnation and Atlantis the Lost Continent. Are Aliens visiting us? Is Reincarnation real? Where is Atlantis today? Is Bigfoot alive and well? The riveting narrative contains interviews with ghosts and scientists, farmers and college professors, people who have had contact with Bigfoot and the reincarnated. There is the story of a man who claims to be a descendent from Atlantis. Other excerpts include passages from the diary of a man who spent the night in a haunted house and another from the diary of a ghost trapped in a prison cell. Many strange stories are told but there are no clear answers. The title of the book is “Answers to the Mysteries”, but please note the three words in parentheses “there are no”. The search for the answers continues amid the many interesting stories told. Who knows, maybe someday, someone will provide the answers that have eluded all of us. Perhaps the biggest mystery to unravel is, “In 1973, Ronald Smith claimed that he was invincible and was willing to take on any challengers. A junkyard in his town responded with the challenge of him escaping from their automobile compactor. Smith accepted the offer and allowed himself to be seated in a 1965 Chevy, which was placed in the compacter and crushed into a one-inch cube. Men screamed, women fainted and children applauded when Mr. Smith emerged from the compactor as the world’s only one inch man.”

    Richard Hill

Paperback (Harper Perennial, May 2, 2006)
The nineteenth century saw several major innovations in naval warfare. Reliable steam engines made it so that ships no longer depended on the wind and could maneuver more freely. At the same time, new explosive shells were developed, replacing cannonballs, and no wooden ship could withstand them. In response to these shells, a new class of self-propelled, armored "ironclads" was invented and quickly revolutionized naval warfare. A comprehensive look at the makeup of these "ironclad" warships.A technical view of the powerful weaponry that compelled these radical innovations.A look at the historic battles that proved the necessity of engines and armor.A discussion of the new tactics employed by nineteenth-century navies and the revival of an old classic -- the "ram."
