  • We're All Alike and Different

    Leon Weintraub, Pritali Joharapurkar

Paperback (Mirror Publishing, March 9, 2016)
For reader 3-9... Young children are introduced to the wonderful world that lies beyond the borders of their own home, learning about how we are all alike...and different from each other at the same time. If we look at what we can see, we may be alike (two eyes, ten fingers, one nose) and different (height, build, hair color, skin tone) at the same time, but if we look at what we cannot see (our pleasures, our hopes, our dreams, and our enjoyment with each other), we find that we are all, under the skin, so to speak, pretty much alike. Beginning with family, and then moving outward to other people in our neighborhood and beyond, we see the great diversity in humanity. While it is easy to note our differences, just a bit more thought will reveal the many ways we are like one another.

    Blair Kluckman, Pritali Joharapurkar

Paperback (Mirror Publishing, May 27, 2015)
Jasper is a lonely dust bunny that lives in a very clean house thanks to a scary house keeper, Bertha. He has been alone since the Warner family bought the abandoned house he called home, and cleaned it up. He dreams of getting to the abandoned house across the street, where he has seen a pink dust bunny named Tilly who dances in the front room window every night. He knows the house would be crawling with dust bunnies like him, as their dancing leads to the creation of more and more dust bunnies. The dust bunnies have dance parties to create dust clouds that settle, and if left alone for long enough, will create more dust bunnies. Jasper, however is forced to hide in a cabinet by day, and only comes out at night to dance in an attempt to create more bunnies. His attempts, however, are always in vain thanks to Bertha. Staying in the Warner house becomes down-right dangerous when Bertha catches wind of Jasper's existence. By chance, Jasper meets Tilly one night after watching her dance in the window of the house across the street. Simply walking across the street to join Tilly and the other bunnies can't be done since going outside could very well be a death sentence for a dust bunny. Instead, the two develop a unique way to talk to each other. It's through this new form of communicating that Jasper and Tilly try to come up with a plan to save Jasper from Bertha before it's too late.

  • What Are You Doing?

    Leon Weintraub, Pritali Joharapurkar

Paperback (Mirror Publishing, Jan. 15, 2018)
Let’s be honest, parents (and grandparents, too) – how many times have you asked those young people that seem to be continually underfoot and marching to a very different drummer, that simple question: "What are you doing?" Your need to ask that question may always seem obvious to you, but did you ever wonder how that question is heard by the young child you are addressing? Just as we already know that those youngsters are soaking up new information and forming new ideas in their little heads every single day, we also need to know that they are trying, in their own, distinct ways, to relate to the world around them – often in ways that make much sense to them but raise doubts to the adults around them. What Are You Doing? will help you see many situations through a child’s eyes, enabling you to understand better what is going through their minds, even while you have many doubts of your own.
