In 1971 on a hot, humid and starlit evening in August David, a tired policeman, responded to reports of an illegal party at Stonehenge. As he drove along the winding roads of Wiltshire a strange darkness fell across the sky that made him shiver in the heat. Meanwhile, a local farmer out tending his pigs could hear hippies partying among the stones of the ancient monument. With no warning, lightning began to illuminate the sky and ferociously bombard the stone circle. Thunder rolled across the plains and hot rain pelted the ground.
