John Petersen was born in Omaha, Nebraska and has been creating characters and illustrating for as long as he can remember. He always dreamed of writing children's books. He and his family live in Atlanta, Georgia and his daughter, Riley, continues to provide inspiration for this and future books.

These stories are to be read by an adult and child together for discussion, learning, and bonding. The purpose of these stories is to: entertain, build relationships, develop communication, and learn.
