  • Girls'' Day Out: The Adventure

    Paulette Jones

eBook (Your Time Publishing, LLC, Aug. 8, 2011)
The girls had done their very best all school year and were being rewarded with the title of best fourth grade students. Summer was about to begin and as usual they would be split up to go spend time at their grandmothers’ homes. The aunties decide to give the girls something special, a girls’ day out. The girls want to know, they need to know, what and where this girls’ day out will take them. The suspense is overwhelming so they use all of the resources that they have to find out where they will be going. They ask their parents if they know anything, they go to the library and look in books, magazines and on maps; they use the computer and look for places near and far. They even resort to asking the aunties, and even though they know the aunties will not tell them a thing, they remain hopeful to the last minute. The adventure as they call it turns out to be bigger, better and more usual than they could have even imagined. The lesson they learn this week is priceless.
