  • My Best Friend

    Patricia Thomas

eBook (Covenant Books, Inc., Oct. 24, 2019)
There are no better memories than those we create with our special little ones. These memories are the most valuable treasure we pass down through the generations.Imagine your child sharing the My Best Friend they created with their own child. Imagine them sharing the joy, love, and fun you had as you read, laughed, and illustrated this little book. The first My Best Friend was done with my granddaughter over twenty years ago. It still fills my heart to bursting every time I turn the pages. It’s pure joy to have that little one back, if only for an instant. That experience made me want to share this little book with you. It’s simple and fun. You will be able to show the child’s name as the illustrator and the date it was done. Then you read the poem or have the child read the poem on the left page, then they illustrate what they heard on the right page. There is also an About the Illustrator page that allows you to tell about him/her at that time. Could it be any easier or any more fun?Don’t miss the opportunity to take a few minutes now to create a treasure for the future. Create a treasure for the generations to come.
  • Chucky the Black Squirrel: "A Lesson Learned"

    Patricia A. Thorpe

eBook (PageTurner, Press and Media, March 2, 2018)
This is a children's book regarding bullying and judging others before getting to know them. The book uses black and gray squirrel to help illustrate how these lessons may be learned.Patricia A. Thorpe was a resident of Wisconsin for most of her life until she retired from Certegy as a credit card manager in 2003. In 2006, she moved to Mesa, Arizona where she resides today. She returns to Wisconsin where she spends time with her four sons and five grandchildren during the summer months.Patricia recalls buying many children's books when her sons were young children. She felt reading to her children was paramount and bought many children's books to read to them as learning methods. When her sons were going to start school, she found a book that she felt could assist them in learning what they may experience and feel on their first few days of school. Patricia found a book to help her sons learn their ABCs, simple math calculations, the importance of following the Golden Rule and most importantly lessons from Aesop's Fables.During the seven years Patricia lived on Lake Kristine in northern Wisconsin, she found herself looking out of the large window from her dining room. From there she observed many different kinds of birds and animals interacting with one another. The memories of buying children's books for her sons led her to decide to create a children's book with a story line about a hummingbird she lovingly called "Harry." She hopes to create other children's books in the future for young children to enjoy and assist them in learning important life lessons. The memories of buying children's books for her sons led her to decide to create a children's book with a story line about a hummingbird she lovingly called "Harry." • The Canada Goslings Lilly and Scooter

    Patricia Thorpe

    Paperback (XLIBRIS, July 27, 2017)
The story line of this book was created from the pleasure I attained from looking out a large window at my lake property in Wisconsin. Over many years, as I drank my morning coffee or ate my lunch at noon, I observed in wonderment many different kinds of animals and birds interacting with one another.Nature continued to illustrate other observations to me that I have written about. These observations helped me to create a story line for children not only to enjoy reading but also perhaps could assist them in learning an important life lesson. If you enjoyed reading about Scooter and Lilly who learned a lesson to never give up, you may also enjoy reading about Harry the Hummingbird and Chucky the Black Squirrel, two other story lines about sharing and bullying!
