    Mommy tells Alex he has to do his chore of hanging up his shirts. Alex tells Mommy he quit to avoid doing his chore. Mommy decides that is a good idea and quits too dropping her laundry basket on the floor. Alex thinks of all the things Mommy does and how he will miss those things. His cat Carrot who makes funny faces to show how he feels only cares about his food. Alex does anything he can think of to change her mind except to hang up his shirts but it doesn't work. As time goes on Carrot, who is worried about his food, gets more annoyed with Alex. Finally Alex hangs up his shirts and Mommy goes back to being Mommy again. This book is funny because of Carrot the cat who has adorable and hilarious ways of telling his feelings.
