Angel, an American Indian boy, and his dog Wakanda, wake up to a huge dumping of snow, in the Rocky Mountains.Kerry Dean, lives just down the road. His parents David and Tara Dean, are owners of the Big Bear Ski-Hire. Winter is here, and the first falls overnight are very heavy, leaving two feet of fresh snow. The village and the mountains are postcard perfect, just what everyone was hoping for, to bring in the tourists. Kerry wakes up to the beginning of the season. He will have to work hard.But before then, like every year, his closest friends travel to the mountain village to stay for a week.Maddison, Jordan, Hayley and Josh, arrive by bus.After settling in, the five friends set off on foot to their secret ceremonial cave for their reunion, three miles away.They all know the way well, but there’s one big omission here; Kerry’s parents don’t know where they're going. As the friends set off towards it, Angel, and his dog, Wakanda, watch them. Angel feels there is trouble ahead for them. A snow storm hits. Kerry can't convince Hayley and Jordan to turn back, so eventually they just manage to take shelter in the cave. They share their yearly ritual, with stories of the past and their hopes and dreams for the future. They try to head back to the ski-hire, but lose their way again, only just managing to find their way back to the cave. Trapped and freezing, they await rescue. But they are unaware, as are the inhabitants of Fariddion, that Tibbar and Astar need Ariana to help rid them of the Occasionally; a black clad group of evil outcasts led by Harden. Ariana and Cathy are caught up more and more, in this continuing battle to the death. The forces of Fariddion led by Storm and the Bird Totems, face off against Harden's Black Orbs.
