  • Zach Faraday and the League of Dorks: Uncertainty

    Nick Halili

    language (, April 17, 2014)
Zach Faraday, a 12-year-old whose imagination sometimes gets out of control, is the victim of a hit-and-run on the way to his new school. When he wakes up, he notices that he is completely unharmed. Zach decides, based on his obsession with sci-fi and comic books, that he is indestructible. After joining the school's comic book club, he soon discovers the club’s other geeky members and their teacher/club advisor may not be what they seem to be.Move over, Avengers. Make way, Guardians of the Galaxy. The League of Dorks is here to crush bad guys (and hopefully, survive 7th grade). A sci-fi comedy-adventure that melds pop culture, quantum physics, and the unspeakable horrors of middle school, Zach Faraday and the League of Dorks is the story of five pre-teens who believe the fate of the entire universe depends on them. And unlike other pre-teens who also believe this (99.9% is a reasonable estimate), they might actually be right. Kids who enjoy the Percy Jackson and Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and adults who grew up watching The Goonies will find a new generation of unlikely heroes to root for.
