  • USS Stonewall Jackson Series: Books 1-3

    Stephen Makk

Paperback (Independently published, Dec. 18, 2019)
The United States Navy has designed the most powerful and silent diesel-electric submarine to ever patrol the deeps: the USS Stonewall Jackson. It would require a cunning warrior of the seas to command such a boat, and the USN has chosen its best young submariner: Commander Nathan Blake. He’ll need to employ stealth and guile to seek out the foe. This digital boxset is an omnibus edition containing the first, second and third thrillers of the USS Stonewall Jackson series, plus bonus book HMS Holy Ghost. USS Stonewall Jackson: North Korea has perfected a ballistic nuclear submarine capable of lying way off the Californian coast and raining down nuclear terror on the USA. Enough is enough. USS Stonewall Jackson is given the task of tracking down the enemy. But will Nathan find that the Korean People’s Navy has a trick up its sleeve? The Spratly Incident: The South China Sea’s islands and reefs are in dispute, sitting over vast oil and gas wealth. The People’s Republic of China is taking possession of these and turning them into sea fortresses. It’s time for the USS Stonewall Jackson to intervene. Follow Nathan and his crew as they take on the might of the People’s Liberation Army Navy. The Black Sea Horde: The Russian Black Sea Fleet is intent on flooding into the Mediterranean to face the US Sixth Fleet. USS New York City is the tripwire and first line of defense. For her Weapons Officer, young Lieutenant Commander Nathan Blake, it’s the patrol from hell. Stand with Nathan onboard the USS New York City as he faces the Black Sea Horde. HMS Holy Ghost: Captain Luke MacArthur has his orders: hunt down two of the quietest submarines in the world. They were the deadly weapon of the Soviet Union in the Cold War: the Kilo Class, known as the Black Hole for a good reason. Iran intends to use these submarines to choke off the Gulf oil supply. Join the crew of HMS Holy Ghost and help Luke to hunt down the Black Hole.

language (DMS Literary Publications, July 2, 2018)
Rebecca’s Book of Fairies, Pixies, Elves & other Amazing Things. This illustrated novel is a light-hearted look at Rebecca’s world and the way she sees the wonders of our beautiful planet. Although she is now 25-years-old, she often reflects upon her younger days as a child. She was around six when she first spotted a fairy, and has managed to take that vision into her adult years. You may find yourself asking if this book chronicles Rebecca’s imagination, or if she really saw these wonders as she suggests. Take her guidance, follow her suggestions, and go look for yourself. You’ll be amazed what is out there. This book, I would suggest is one that parents will love as much as their children. After all, imagination has no age limit.

  • The Hook Of Marcus

    Stephen Nepa

    language (, Jan. 1, 2017)
A heartbroken Jacob Turner has been wandering around through life wondering just why the girl he loved has left him. While he tries very hard to distract himself with life’s everyday tasks, he just doesn’t seem to be able to get his mind off of just what went wrong. Jacob cared about his ex-girlfriend, but he truly developed a deep connection with her two children, pretty much raising them as his own. Little did Jacob know just how far that connection would reach. While he is busy wallowing in his own adventure of self-pity, the children are beginning a very important, and slightly dangerous adventure of their own. Young Gina decides to follow a cat, which she nicknamed Messy into the backyard of the home of eccentric Old Lady Hickory, in the mysterious town of Hook. Old Lady Hickory is an urban legend of sorts in the town, so while chasing down Messy, Gina’s curiousity gets the better of her and she decided to peek in one of Old Lady Hickory’s windows. Let’s just say that Gina got quite a scare, as what she spied was both utterly terrifying and magical at the same time. Gina returns home to tell her brother Edward what she has witnessed and together they return to the home to get to the bottom of the mystery once and for all. Meanwhile, a young woman named Elise is putting groceries away in her pantry when suddenly she is sucked into a portal and transported to another world. It is not just any world, but one that she has been to once before, even if she doesn’t remember it at the time. She is rescued by two large bee-like creatures named Bumbles and Beezy who do their very best to protect and assist Elise as she explores this new world. Almost immediately, the trio is attacked by an evil disfigured king and his army of skeletal soldiers and Elise’s true powers are put to the ultimate test. Edward and Gina make themselves known to Old Lady Hickory and she shares a tale with them about how many years ago two young girls went into the water that surrounds Hook and retrieved a mythical amulet called the Diaphoria. It is now hidden beneath the town surrounded by many creatures and world full of secrets. The children are curious to explore this side of their town and the Old Lady is willing to show them the way. Back in the other world, two princesses named Salt and Verruca reside in a large castle. Salt has been imprisoned and Verruca is trapped under the spell of Salt’s obsessive sidekick Emerson. With Salt trapped in the dungeon below, Verruca is running the land under the evil guise of Emerson. It is a battle between good and evil forces, as Verruca is fighting with all her strength to allow the goodness of her soul to outshine the evil curse put upon her by Emerson. Emerson wants to get his hands on the great Diaphoria amulet and with it hopes to release Salt from her prison and escape to another world. A great traveler named Obikwa acts at the narrator for our journey between worlds and is currently trying to put together a team to fight the impending attack from Emerson and Salt should he get his hands on the amulet and she be released. Obikwa travels to Earth and tells Jacob the tale about the amulet and the town of Hook and the danger that the kids are in if they were to retrieve the amulet. Jacob doesn’t believe Obikwa of course, but certainly can feel that something is amiss.
