You’ve got ads in which human bodies are thrown around. If that’s not horror, I don’t know what is.Plain and simple, there are more things that damage children and society than drugs and cigarettes.I chose the stories in this collection not only because they were well written, and highly entertaining, but because they encompassed a full spectrum of “dos” and “don’ts” that every 21st century child needs to learn. It covers everything from firearm safety and petty thievery to dental hygiene and animal cruelty.

Essays written by young Muslims are published in this issue. This volume includes three years of essays from our annual Essay Panel Contest (EPC). Muslim youth in and around the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area wrote their essays on different themes each year. Participants at all age levels demonstrated a profound understanding of the topics and how they relate them to their personal and communal lives. It is worth reading.
