This book was inspired by my grandson, Leo. Leo lives about an hour from here in Ferndale, Michigan. I live in the country and have a few acres of grass to mow that requires a large mower. Hence the lawn tractor or green tractor as Leo calls it. His first ride lead to another and another. Consequently each time Leo comes here the first thing he asks is, can he ride on the green tractor, "Of course." You're getting the picture by now that it was only natural to write a story about Leo's love of tractors and here it is, The Great Tractor Day, written and illustrated by me, Mick Thompson. Enjoy!This is the third book I have published and illustrated. The first children's book titled "Zooomun Noomun" was published in 2013. The book introduces different aspects of Islam, such as the mosque, prayer, Muhamrad, Ramadian, scripture and pilgrimage. It also addresses topics such as the growth of Islam and growing up in Islam, making the book up-to-date and accessible to young people. Each chapter is supported by a question section which allows pupils to develop their coursework and exam technique. In addition there are numbered sub-sections at the end of the book, providing material for higher ability students to use for further research and development of ideas.
