  • The Fostered Egg- JourneyOf Destiny: The Journey Of Destiny And A Forever Family

    Momma Moon

    language (, May 4, 2015)
Great children's book worth reading to your kids! Children learn about the fact that others are different and that being different doesn't mean is good or bad, but just different. This can relate to numerous situations, like disability, race, weight, and other factors which children find that they or others are different from each other! -Dekel DAs a grandparent of foster kids (now adopted) I had the privilege of 'baby sitting' them over a few years. They too had to adjust and it was the love of their foster parents (and grand parents) that helped them through their trauma and identity issues. They are now growing strong and very well-adjusted, just like the 'eggtastic' little one in this wonderful book. A big 'shout out' to the heroes who helped make it happen, in real life and in this book.-Michael HulenI LOVED THIS BOOK!! I'm going to share it with every foster parent that I know. A wonderful and very much needed story! -Robyne MooreA fun story of an abandoned egg found all alone by The Farmer. Oliver finds through his differences he can still belong to a family. He also discovers that he has a very important destiny.

They have a good chance of winning this year, but it might require cooperating with Max’s older sister Maggie and keeping their other dog friends out of trouble! No matter what problems the group may encounter, Max tries to overcome them and remain focused on winning. This would be easier to do if everyone knew what his super-secret was, but neither he (nor Dash) can tell anyone! • Families Can Be Different: Foster Care and Adoption In The Animal Kingdom

    Momma Moon

    language (, June 3, 2015)
Children love animals, and animals need love too. An adorable picture book introducing children to foster care and adoption. This delightful little book teaches children about foster families. It explains in simple language why foster families are sometimes needed and what a foster family is and does. The transition from human foster families to animals is well done. Each aspect of difference is highlighted in a positive way. The pictures are clear enough for even the youngest child to understand and the language varied enough so it can be used as a read-to book for young children or a read-on-your-own for older children.-Mary HosmarExcellent book that helps to explain why children live with foster or adopted parents. It is very age appropriate and it something that I have been wanting for my children for quite some time. Definitely recommend this book for foster carers. -Mumma JaJaShowing children that families can be made up of different cultures through using the beautiful images of the different animals who have "adopted", I believe not only does it teach compassion within a family, but also goes a long way to building harmony within a community. The images that the author has chosen melts your heart. I especially love who is schmoozing up to the tiger .... get the book to find out - it's worth it.-FeeOsh
