  • Another Day and Lots to Do

    Katherine Mitchell

    Paperback (AuthorHouse, May 29, 2012)
Hi my name is Katherine Mitchell. I have lived in Oklahoma my entire life. I have been married for 19 years to my high school sweetheart. We have four children: we had two children and have adopted two. I love my family very much, they are extremely important to me. I teach a Ladies Sunday School, Children's missions and Vacation Bible School and I am currently completing my Elementary Education degree. Teaching is something I have come by naturally, and writing is a way for me to teach outside of my local area. I am also a wildlife rehabilitator for the state of Oklahoma. I enjoy working with animals and helping them to be able to return to the wild. Wild animals are very important, but as people we have to remember to respect them and not try to interact as this can have bad consequences. I write because I want them to be educational so that people learn something from them. We are never too young or too old to learn so keep on reading. God bless you all! Prayers and Blessings
  • Kids of 8 Mile High

    Michelle Kane

    eBook (, Dec. 12, 2019)
KIDS OF 8 MILE HIGH is set in a futuristic Detroit, where eliminating as many surviving adults as possible is key to kids ruling the entire city. Most of mankind has been wiped out by the latest fatal disease and only those lucky ones that were wise enough to receive an optional vaccination survived the deadly devastation. Laith Jarbo is a teen survivor and a member of the Bishops. Named after Bishop Street, one of the toughest locations on the east side of Detroit, the Bishops hang out at a dilapidated high school building they call 8 Mile High. The Bishops gather in their headquarters here to tally their scores for their human hunting game. The Bishops not only terminate grown-ups for sport and bragging rights, but eliminating the older generation ensures that the Children of Detroit (C.O.D.) will have ultimate authority over their forgotten city. The Bishops’ main conflict is with the Minocks, a group of west side of Detroit boys and girls who want to save the adults by helping them escape to the 7-3-4, which is a suburban safe haven for survivors of the plague. Brixxon Aurelia is a Minock on the run. She crosses paths with the "enemy" Bishop, Laith, desperate to find her father who's been transported to the 7-3-4. Under C.O.D. law, teenagers are not allowed to leave the city. Despite conflicting ideals, opposites attract as Laith agrees to help Brixxon. Is it worth it for Laith to risk his life? Will Brixxon and Laith survive this deadly journey? KIDS of 8 MILE HIGH is book one in this YA trilogy.
