  • The Boy Across The Street

    Melanie Marks

    language (, May 15, 2019)
Just because the (hot) boy across the street saved me from a couple of embarrassing moments lately doesn’t mean I forgive him for the past four years. Four years of him acting like I don’t exist, except when he needs to make a joke out of someone: me. Four years of acting like we hadn’t been best friends once, that is until he cut me out of his life to hang out with the popular crowd. No way. I’m not going to forgive him for that stuff. But then from out of nowhere he kisses me. Ugh! Now I can’t get him and his steamy kiss out of my head. I still haven’t forgiven him—I won’t do it—but now I DREAM about him. Constantly. And it’s no longer the dreams where I get to toss him out a window. No, these involve kissing. And panting. And whispering “I love you.” Shoot. Me. Now.This book is told in two parts. (They are both in this book.) The other part of the story is about the 17-year-old girl’s best friend, Stormy, who is having guy troubles of her own.Stormy’s tale: A hot tough hockey player at our high school left me a steak. A STEAK!! He also left a (bizarrely sweet) bewildering note with it. It said, “This is juicy and well-done … just like your performance tonight.” (Don’t get too excited about that, my “performance” was in the sad school play.) Later, he told me he was being romantic with the steak. He was only teasing, but he said, “What? I heard girls like food for gifts—I was being romantic.” Like I said, he was only teasing. Sadly, he’s ALWAYS teasing me. So it bites that I’m falling for the guy, but I am. Hard. Because he’s just the way I like my steak—hot, tender and delicious. Plus, Mmmm, that boy can kiss!SUMMARY: The tough hockey player at school has it bad for sweet, shy Stormy. Can he show her that he can be sweet too?—tender even? (Stormy’s half of the story was previously titled: The Tough Boy’s Tender Kiss.)No book needs to be read before this bookTeen Romance by Melanie Marks, author of His Kiss; and The Boyfriend Contract.Clean Romance/no swearing*Newest books by Melanie Marks:Your Secret Crush (aka: Me)The Love ContestThe Boyfriend ContractNicole’s Love CurseThey are each standalone stories, and only a buck right now (or you can read them in unlimited, if you have that)
  • The Player

    Melanie Marks

    language (, Dec. 29, 2015)
His name is Dane McGraw, but he’s known as “The Player.” He was called that even before I became his very first girlfriend—back in MIDDLE school. But that was years ago. He’s forgotten all about me … right? Well, that’s what I thought when I started spreading my lies about us—on the Internet. He moved away and he’s all famous now, so I thought he would never know that I made him my new fake boyfriend. And said he adores me and brings me flowers.… Until he shows up at my door—with flowers (!!) …Um?The explanation:When my boyfriend dumped me for my total archenemy (Nina), to save face I posted on my blog that I didn’t care because I had a date to our school dance with The Player. I only did that because I knew my archenemy (Nina) wanted him, and my ex-boyfriend (Back-stabber) was jealous of him. Two birds—one stone. However, for some reason no one believed my crazy lies about The Player. Probably because, you know, they were crazy lies—about The Player. But whoa! Here he is, at my door for the dance—The Player. With that same ol’ player grin that has always played with my heart. Yikes! I need a player’s manual … and an ambulance. ‘Cause I’m swooning for the player boy that broke my heart. AGAIN!! (Help!)THE PLAYER is a standalone teen novel (200 pages). No book needs to be read before it or after it. There is no swearing in the book. This book also includes a story called: “Ally Has Amnesia.” (It is an hour read—two at the most.)Note about the novel, The Player: Parts of it are from Melanie Marks’ book Fake Boyfriend Wars, which is another book about the characters in this book. But since a large portion overlaps this book, even though the storylines are different, it is not recommended that you read both versions—as large portions are the same. (Choose only one version.) This is a standalone novel. Also included in this book, as a bonus, is a new story about Ally and Griffin. It’s called “Ally Has Amnesia.” The story can be read as a standalone, there is no cliffhanger and has a happy ending, however the story will have more meaning if you’ve read Melanie Marks’ book, His Kiss. (It’s only a dollar right now.)Ally Has Amnesia is an hour read (two at the most)This book includes two teen romances from the author Melanie Marks, author of Fall For Me; and His Kiss(Plus a lot of other books)Melanie Marks' newest book is: Getting Lucky For Christmasand: The New Boy

  • Ally and Griffin

    Melanie Marks

    eBook (, Nov. 11, 2014)
EXCERPT: I dab at the wound on Griffin’s face with a cloth. I whisper timidly, “Does it hurt?” “Yes,” Griffin says with a smile. I murmur, “You’re not really acting like it.”He laughs softly. With a teasing glint dancing in his eyes, he tilts his head the slightest bit. “Do you want me to cry, Cookie-Girl?” He’s only teasing. But still, his injuries look PAINFUL. He smiles ruefully. “Look, I’m trying to act tough for you, okay? Yes, it hurts. Bad.” His grin quirks with amusement. “But having you be my nurse is pretty much worth the pain right now.”Purrr!Sharp cushiness slices through me.Griffin goes on with a smirk, “But yes—it hurts. So, maybe don’t watch me too close, okay?—I may lose my cool nickname.”He says it like he doesn’t really think the nickname is that cool. Like he’s just being ironic. But doesn’t particularly care for it or like being called it.I arch my eyebrow. “You mean, ‘The Grief-Master?’”He kind of grimaces as the words spill from my lips.Glancing quickly at me, he says, “You know I don’t really cause grief to people … right?” He says it softly. “I mean, I cause it to the other team, yeah—but not to girls.” Then he adds softly, “I wouldn’t cause you grief, Ally.”Summary: When Ally is forced to help a “troublemaker” from her middle school (tough, hockey playing, Griffin Piper), she soon realizes that it’s her heart that is in “trouble.” Because handsome Griffin Piper isn’t what he seems. At all. Yes, he’s tough (totally). But he’s also the sweetest boy on earth. And he soon has Ally’s heart turning to mush any time he just looks at her … and he looks at her a LOT!!Ally isn’t sure her heart can take Griffin’s gratitude … or his lingering, twinkling stare. It’s like he can read her crush-y heart—like he knows it’s going to explode just from him looking at her … but that doesn’t stop him from doing it. A lot. In fact it seems to be exactly what he wants—to make Ally’s heart pound. For him.As a bonus, there is also a short story included in this book about a boy in middle school (Matt) and how he secretly has a crush on his best friend, Nicole.
