There once was a girl detective called Blue, who livedin a huge kettle house in the tiny village of Ham. Thischildren’s detective picture book was written with agreat deal of imagination. It makes allot of literarysense to children. It is well illustrated and easy tofollow. You will find your child quickly picking up thegrammar and rich literary words that make up thebook. The story is about a girl detective who goes insearch of her precious missing pencil. It reflects ontraditional methods of investigating crime. It’s a puzzlethat had to be unlocked by a child and mostly a female. This family masterpiece broadens the horizon ofchildren and gives them a great sense of purpose. Inmany ways, the book is funny, adventurous andcleverly written to meet the taste of kids. As usualwhen a crime is committed, it draws all sorts ofsuspicions. Detective Blue looked at the possibility thatpolite Mr Cow may have borrowed the pencil, orperhaps baby Mr goat who cries whole day. Or maybeit’s weak and lazy Mr lamb.
