Felix and his mother have moved to the countryside to escape from the bombing, his father has been reported as missing. He and his schoolfriends have their own commando group where they spy on German prisoners of war from a nearby camp. But the Germans seem to be spying on them.At school they are oppressed by Mr Hardcastle, an unpleasant teacher. And is uncle Horatio really a German spy?
