The gang has been solving crimes in and around Higgins Point and Sleetzville for three years and is well known for its sleuthing. Joining it has been hAngie’s dream since the gang got a big newspaper write-up for solving its first case. When someone starts sabotaging the Inner County football program in book one of the Higgins Point Mystery Series that fall with potentially deadly results—including cutting the team bus’s brake lines and tampering with an injured player’s X-ray—Angie is thrilled to be tackling her first case. But Matt says she isn’t ready for detective work and refuses to let her join.Angie is devastated. Why can’t Matt see she’s ready? Determined to prove her worth as a detective, Angie decides to solve the mystery on her own. Relying on the Lord’s guidance and her own intuition and pluck, she does unravel the mystery first, but almost loses her life in the process.
