Babies Are Noisy! has been written as a short story with plenty of illustrations. It follllows a young child with autism' perspective of having a new baby in the family. Through the wonderful illustrations and sensitve story line the reader learns of the scenarios and experiences 'Andre' has as he witnesses the inevitable changes having a new baby in the family brings. The book differs from other new baby stories, by sharing very specifically some sensory and social experiences and helpful strategies. A delightful example is of Andre listening to his own comforting music on his head phones to help him cope with the noise in the clinic waiting room. Many of 'Andre's' experiences have been influenced by real life situations; families have reported when having a new baby.
