This story is based on the character of real people and mostly real places, except that the story didn’t happen in real life. Characters in the story acted in the way the author considered they would in the extraordinary conditions he placed them. It was true that the father of two of the children had died suddenly at that time of their life. The author used that event to start the story rolling. The four children have adventure after adventure after they accidently drift to sea and end up in a little cove with a lot of history.
