"There had not been a bedbug execution for as long as they could remember. This was all very exciting. Dustumust was taken to prison which was an empty matchbox. This was normally used for naughty bedbugs who had been sampling too much toothpaste, which tended to make them go a bit 'doolally'. They were put in the matchbox to sleep off the effects without hurting themselves or annoying others.

Over the months Emma slipped into a form of lethargy really not caring what she did or did not do. She imagined herself in a small square box where all the sides were black and slimy.
