Albert Whitman & Co., Chicago; 6th Printing 1944; original copyright 1935. 24 pp, including ten FULL COLOR full-page illustrations ready for framing. Size about 9 ¾" by 8 ½" by ½". No DJ. Covers are soft cardboard laminate and show their age. The binding is library tape that has started to peel but holds the book together; no loose pages; the book is stored in a plastic book bag. Pages are unmarked and clean EXCEPT for some old library markings on five of the pages (library name stamp only at the bottom of three of the text pages) and pieces of (apparently) 1940s cellophane (real!) tape on about seven pages. There are some small tears on the edges and corners of some text pages that would appear not to interfere with one's enjoyment of this children's classic.
