    MARY LOUISE

Learning to put toys away after playing with them....a lesson for childrenThis story is about Maxie Scruff, a tiny 'Scruffutoe', who has many toys and loves to play with them all. But Maxie is sometimes lazy and doesn’t put his toys away after playing with them. Until one day, he finds that the toys he leaves lying around, keep disappearing! He discovers a large creature is taking his things, but when he bravely investigates the creature’s hide-out, Maxie is captured and trapped inside a dark hole! How will Maxie escape the large creature, and what lesson will he learn for the future?BE THE FIRST TO INTRODUCE 'SCRUFFUTOES' to your children! They will love these unique little characters, who are tiny enough to live in shoes. They make themselves invisible to humans, but are visible to all other living things. They are mischievous and adventurous, and you will delight in watching them as they venture into a world of imagination, fun, danger, and discovery, meeting unusual creatures along the way! Scruffutoes are less than a few centimetres tall, covered in blue hair when they are happy...which turns bright green when they are not! Then they emit the most disgusting ‘stink’ which can send other creatures running for fresh air! But what happens when their 'stink' doesn't save them?

  • Our Refugee Household

    Louise Clack

Paperback (Ulan Press, Aug. 31, 2012)
This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. While some publishers have opted to apply OCR (optical character recognition) technology to the process, we believe this leads to sub-optimal results (frequent typographical errors, strange characters and confusing formatting) and does not adequately preserve the historical character of the original artifact. We believe this work is culturally important in its original archival form. While we strive to adequately clean and digitally enhance the original work, there are occasionally instances where imperfections such as blurred or missing pages, poor pictures or errant marks may have been introduced due to either the quality of the original work or the scanning process itself. Despite these occasional imperfections, we have brought it back into print as part of our ongoing global book preservation commitment, providing customers with access to the best possible historical reprints. We appreciate your understanding of these occasional imperfections, and sincerely hope you enjoy seeing the book in a format as close as possible to that intended by the original publisher.
