Goldilocks Returns
Lisa Campbell Ernst
Hardcover
(Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, May 1, 2000)
The grown-up Goldilocks is so wracked with guilt over breaking into the three bears house that she shortens her name, pins up her cuts, and opens a lock shop. But that isn't enough to make her feel better, so she goes back to the bears' house to make amends. Once again she arrives when no one is home, but this time she stocks the pantry, fixes the furniture, and installs a lock on the front door. She's delighted with the results. As for the bears, they'll need another fifty years recover!
